In this episode, we embarked on a journey of self-discovery through the ancient practice of yoga, focusing specifically on the Muladhara chakra—the root of our being. Exploring the profound benefits of yoga and how it can help us find stability, security, and serenity in our lives.

Yoga is a practice for every body, regardless of shape, size, or level of flexibility. It's about cultivating a deeper connection with ourselves and the world around us, one breath at a time and in this episode I dispel another common myth; Yoga is not a a religion.

Understanding the Muladhara Chakra:

Located at the base of the spine, the Muladhara chakra is associated with our sense of safety, security, and stability. When this chakra is balanced, we feel grounded, centred, and at ease in our bodies. But when it's out of balance, we may experience feelings of fear, insecurity, or instability.

Yoga offers a variety of practices to help balance the Muladhara chakra. 

Grounding poses like Mountain Pose, Warrior I, and Child's Pose can help us connect with the earth beneath us, fostering a sense of stability and security. Additionally, breathing exercises like Square Breathing can help calm the mind and restore balance to the chakra.

This episode includes an introduction to Pranayama (breathing exercise) and a chakra meditation.
